We Filed a Lawsuit Today Over My Metrorail Assault Incident

Eight months after I was battered and assaulted by a security guard on the Miami-Dade Metrorail for videotaping inside a train station, I filed a lawsuit seeking damages.

The [__suit was filed today__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Carlos-Miller-s-lawsuit-against-50-State-Security) at the Miami-Dade Courthouse by my attorney [__Michael Pancier,__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/www.pancierlaw.com) who also happens to be a talented [__nature photographer.__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/index.html)

He advised me not to comment on the suit because it is pretty much self-explanatory.

Besides, not only was the incident captured by HD Net on video, I’ve said all I’ve had to say on the matter in [__previous__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/i-was-attacked-by-a-metrorail-security-guard-for-shooting-video1) [__articles.__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/we-were-permanantly-banned-from-the-miami-dade-metrorail-for-taking-photos1)

We are also seeking other photographers who have been harassed by 50 State security on the Metrorail because it’s an [__ongoing__](http://www.pixiq.com/article/security-guards-still-harassing-photogs-at-miami-metrorail)[__issue__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/accosted-by-miami-dade-metrorail-security-guards1) that has yet to be resolved.

If you have been harassed, threatened or intimidated by 50 State for taking photos or video on or near the Metrorail, send me an email to carlosmiller at magiccitymedia dot com (written that way to prevent the spambots from spamming me).

Support our Mission

Help us build a database of bad cops

For almost 15 years, PINAC News has remained active despite continuous efforts by the government and Big Tech to shut us down by either arresting us for lawful activity or by restricting access to our readers under the pretense that we write about “social issues.”

Since we are forbidden from discussing social issues on social media, we have created forums on our site to allow us to fulfill our mission with as little restriction as possible. We welcome our readers to join our forums and support our mission by either donating, volunteering or both.

Our plan is to build a national database of bad cops obtained from public records maintained by local prosecutors. The goal is to teach our readers how to obtain these lists to ensure we cover every city, county and state in the country.

After all, the government has made it clear it will not police the police so the role falls upon us.

It will be our most ambitious project yet but it can only be done with your help.

But if we succeed, we will be able to keep innocent people out of prison.

Please make a donation below or click on side tab to learn more about our mission.
