Former Massachusetts Cop Sent Back to Prison for Child Porn

While on duty in 2011 after mistakenly sending a CD of child porn images to the local district attorney, including photos of himself masturbating to these images inside the evidence room of his agency.

Alan Vigiard, who resigned from the Adams Police Department, was sentenced to two years in prison, serving a year in prison.

Last week, the former cop was sentenced to prison again for trading and viewing child porn online, even though the conditions of his release forbid him from accessing the internet for five years.

This time, he was sentenced to 10-12 years, according to Mass Live, which reports that from January to November 2016, Vigiard, 51, accessed and uploaded child pornographic images to chat rooms and traded the images with other online creeps at chatstep.com.

In October 2016, police with the Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip that Vigiard was accessing child pornography.

Police launched an investigation and ended up seizing Vigiard’s phone, tablet, and computer in November 2016. On the devices police found child pornographic images and evidence that Vigiard was accessing the internet.

Police also obtained a search warrant for Vigiard’s home and vehicle; they found tablets, a USB thumb drive, and cell phone containing adult and child pornography. Also, multiple DVDs and magazines featuring adult pornography were seized during the search warrant execution.

During an interview with authorities Vigiard admitted to viewing child pornography via his electronic devices. Vigiard’s reasoning was that he was battling depression and  became self destructive, which initiated his second run in with child pornography.

On Tuesday Vigiard pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of dissemination of child pornography.

His first arrest for child porn came in 2009 after when the married father of two children sent 153 images of child porn on a compact disc to the Berkshire District Attorney along with evidence for a larceny case.

Included on that disc were images of him masturbating in the police department’s evidence room, according to the Berkshire Eagle.

Support our Mission

Help us build a database of bad cops

For almost 15 years, PINAC News has remained active despite continuous efforts by the government and Big Tech to shut us down by either arresting us for lawful activity or by restricting access to our readers under the pretense that we write about “social issues.”

Since we are forbidden from discussing social issues on social media, we have created forums on our site to allow us to fulfill our mission with as little restriction as possible. We welcome our readers to join our forums and support our mission by either donating, volunteering or both.

Our plan is to build a national database of bad cops obtained from public records maintained by local prosecutors. The goal is to teach our readers how to obtain these lists to ensure we cover every city, county and state in the country.

After all, the government has made it clear it will not police the police so the role falls upon us.

It will be our most ambitious project yet but it can only be done with your help.

But if we succeed, we will be able to keep innocent people out of prison.
