One admitted he wanted to meet a female victim (a minor) with an AR-15, so he could sexually assault and rob her.
Houston police announced Tuesday that a former Harris County sheriff’s deputy and Houston police sergeant were among those arrested as part of an effort to arrest those exploiting children online.
Various agencies took part in a three-month-long investigation, dubbed Operation Broken Heart, which nabbed 60 offenders who racked up 152 charges across eight Texas counties.
Former Harris County deputy Donald Dehnert, 46, was arrested after admitting to having child pornography on a flash drive.
Two of the images were of children who appeared to be under the age of two-years-old.
Another photo was found of a girl who appeared to be between six and eight-years-old.
Dehnert admitted to attempting to arrange a meeting with the girl while armed, so he could rape and rob her.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force also arrested Stephen McGee, 44, a former Houston police sergeant, who was booked on five counts of possession of child erotica.
McGee, who left HPD in October 2016, was arrested in March for stalking and posting nude photos of his ex-girlfriend to a fake Facebook account.
“Most important to me is getting these criminals, these victimizers off of our streets and bringing them to justice,” Chief Acevedo said.
Dayton ISD elementary school music school teacher, Joshua Janecka, 31, was also arrested as part of the operation on promotion of child pornography and possession of child pornography, according to ABC13.
Authorities said Operation Broken Heart focused on targeting those sex trafficking children and Houston as well as suspects who distribute, produce, receive and possess child pornography.
