A Pennsylvania fireman raped and sexually abused a 13-year-old girl three times a week for nearly a year. Now the fireman has been fired and arrested.
32-year-old Justin Vidra of the White Oak Volunteer Fire Company #1 was arrested just days ago on June 29 by Allegheny County police on charges of rape, unlawful contact with a minor, and statutory sexual assault.
WTAE reports that beginning in the summer of 2017 Vidra started having un-consensual sexual intercourse and relations with the victim at her home. Court documents show that Vidra told the victim not to tell anyone about the sexual assaults, threatening to take all of her family’s money out of the bank.
The girl was home along during each sexual encounter with Vidra, which occured roughly 3 times a week from summer 2017 to mid 2018. It is not clear how Vidra knew the girl and her family.
Vidra admitted to police that he had sex with the girl from 2017 to 2018.
The president of the White Oak Volunteer Fire Department #1, James Booth released this statement:
“We have been made aware of some very serious allegations against a former member, said member was already facing action from a previous matter that went against our social media policy. Once we were made aware of the current accusation said member has been terminated from our company effective immediately. We as a company find these charges very disturbing.”
Vidra was unable to make the $50,000 bail and is still in the Allegheny County Jail.
