The first time Jacob Mark Duenas was convicted of molesting a minor, he was a California Highway Patrol officer, so the judge gave him probation after he pleaded no contest to molesting a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl.
It was 2008 and Duenas was fired from his job and forced to register as a sex offender.
In 2014, he was arrested again, this time for molesting a 10-year-old boy. Duenas pleaded no contest again and the judge sentenced him to six months in jail with five months probation.
On Monday, the 37-year-old man was convicted of repeatedly raping a fourth child, this time an 8-year-old boy back in 2000 when he was trying to become a police officer.
The victim testified that he did not tell anybody about the rapes for years, but it changed his personality, leaving him angry and isolated.
Duenas, who once told his aunt he was “good” at molesting kids without being caught, is now expected to be sentenced to prison, according to KCRA.
