New Jersey Cop Sexually Assaults Minor Girl, He Made $101,413 Annually

A New Jersey cop was charged with sexually assaulting a child, according to authorities.

36-year-old William Sanchez-Monllor of the Trenton Police Department was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Burlington Township Public Safety Director Bruce Painter announced the charges against Sanchez-Monllor on Wednesday, a day after he was taken into custody at the township police department.

Law enforcement officials said the abuse occurred on multiple occasions in Burlington County. Details of the alleged crimes were sealed by a Superior Court judge. However, court documents do show that the abuse started as early as 2014, CBS 3 Philadelphia reports.

The prosecutor’s office did not give an age or gender of the minor victim, or the nature of any relationship the victim may have had with Sanchez-Monllor.

The case is being investigated by detectives from the Burlington Township Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office.

Sanchez-Monllor has been a Trenton officer since 2010 and has worked as a detective.

Records show that Sanchez-Monllor makes a annual salary of $101,413.
