On Sunday the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) arrested a police officer on drug charges.
Michael Townsend, 32, of the Sperry Police Department was charged with distribution of controlled substance and attempted unlawful possession of controlled drugs.
OSBI officials said they began investigating Townsend back in October. Officials said Townsend resigned during the investigation.
Townsend was booked into the Tulsa County Jail and is being held on a $15,000 bond.
No other details were released.
