From the video above, it does not appear as if Baltimore Police Sergeant Marlon Koushall was aware the woman he had just punched in the face and thrown to the ground was a fellow police officer.
But his actions that night in August 2018 were so violent, another police officer had to pull Koushall off the female officer, who was off-duty and out of uniform and partying at a Baltimore stip club.
Baltimore police charged the female cop, Henrietta Middleton, with assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest that night and she was placed on suspension.
But charges against Middleton were dismissed in December 2018 and two months later, Koushall was charged with second-degree assault and misconduct in office.
A judge convicted him last week and he is facing up to 10 years in prison for the assault charge and even more for the misconduct charge. He is scheduled to be sentenced November 7.
If he winds up in prison, he will join about a dozen other Baltimore cops sentenced to prison in recent years. They may have enough cops in prison to create their own prison gang.
Middleton, meanwhile, is back on the job where she made $125,000 in 2017 for teaching the Constitution to other officers which has to be a front for something else because the Baltimore Police Department is one of the clueless in the nation about our Constitutional rights.
The Baltimore State Attorney’s Office congratulated itself on prosecuting Koushall, saying “these convictions demonstrate our unwavering commitment to hold all criminal actors accountable to the law even if and when they wear a badge.”
But Koushall has long been part of a rogue clique of Baltimore cops who have abused their power for years, including an incident we reported on in 2014 where Koushall and several other cops dragged a woman out of her car for recording them while calling her a “dumb b*tch.”
Koushall tasered the woman in that incident and was later named in her lawsuit which resulted in a $60,000 settlement in 2016.
It does not appear as if Koushall and the other officers were ever disciplined in that case, even though the victim was the daughter of a Maryland Capitol police officer.
“Nobody can tell me I can’t record,” Mwamba said before she was called a dumb bitch.
Evidently, those cops did not attend Middleton’s training class on the Constitution.
