Clearwater County Deputy Neil Dolan, 31, is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct after allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl on the campus of Bagley High School in Bagley, Minnesota.
Dolan was arrested on November 19 after The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension began investigating him upon receiving a complaint from the police chief of Bagley, Minnesota.
The chief indicated that she had concerns about the behavior of a Clearwater County Deputy that involved a minor child.
A criminal complaint says a Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agent interviewed a teenage girl who said on or about June 1, 2017, on the last day of school she had sex with Dolan inside his office at Bagley High School, CBS Minnesota reports.
She was in ninth grade, just 15 years old at the time. Dolan was 29 on the date of the alleged sex, working as the School Resource Officer. Dolan was in uniform and was wearing his department issued gun at the time of the alleged sex crime with the girl.
Prosecutors say in the complaint that Dolan was in a position of authority over the teen at the time of the alleged sexual assault, and was more than 120 months older than she was.
If convicted, Dolan could face 30 years in prison. Dolan was put on administrative leave. Dolan became a full-time school resource officer in 2011.
