Three weeks after security guards [__dragged me down__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/i-was-attacked-by-miami-dade-metrorail-security-guards-for-taking-photos-and-shooting-video) an escalator [__in a chokehold__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/metrorail-attack-reveals-much-work-to-be-done-for-photographers-rights) for taking photos on the Miami-Dade Metrorail, my attorney [__filed a federal civil rights lawsuit__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Miller-v-50-State-Federal-Civil-Rights-Complaint) against the security company.
We already had a [__pending state lawsuit__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/we-filed-a-lawsuit-today-over-my-metrorail-assault-incident) against [__50 State Security__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/50state.com) for the previous attack against me for entering the station with a video camera, so first we tried to amend the state court lawsuit with the new claims.
However, the judge rejected the amendment because the incidents took place almost two years apart.
So my attorney, [__Michael Pancier__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/PancierLaw?ref=ts&fref=ts), who is also [__a photographer__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/0), withdrew that suit, only to come back with a much stronger suit on the federal level.
That means the matter will most likely be resolved much quicker than if it had stayed at the state level.
Meanwhile, 50 State introduced a [__Facebook page__](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/538034692897919?ref=ts&fref=ts) which so far has a whopping 14 followers, ten which are *PINAC* readers who have been leaving scathing comments, only to watch them get deleted.
