WATCH: Cop Throws Woman’s Phones, then Arrests Man who tries to pick them up

Texas cops arrested a man for picking up a cellphone that an officer ripped out of a woman’s hands and slammed on the ground.

The incident was caught on video that is now going viral.

The footage shows a group of friends in Baytown, Texas being arrested in a parking lot of The Chute sports bar. Baytown police say the group was uncooperative and intoxicated.

Kyla Holder was trying to get her phone back from someone in the parking lot.

When the woman who had her phone made a snarky remark, she replied with a cuss word.

“When I was saying a cuss word back, she goes to walk off. As soon as I said it, the cops came and they grabbed me and said, ‘You’re going to jail,’ and I said, ‘Okay. I’ll leave. I’ll leave and they said, ‘No. No. You’ve had your warning,’ which, I never had a warning,” Holder explained in an interview with abc13.

Things began to escalate when her friend Ashley Serbe attempted to explain what happened to officers before she was also arrested.

“He put my hands behind my back, put them up as high as he can, which I know they do that all the time, and grabs both of the phones out of my hand and pulls his hands up and smashes them both on the ground,” Serbe recalled.

That’s when John Reyes went to pick up the phones before he was taken down, placed in cuffs and also arrested.

“They take him down and whenever they did, he busts his head into the car,” Serbe said.

Police claim they asked Kayla to leave, but she refused and that Ashley approached the officers arguing, using profanities and not cooperating.

They also say Reyes was instructed to stop picking up the phones, but arrested him when he continued picking up the phones.

“Officers instructed him to stop but he continued; therefore, officers attempted to take him into custody and in doing so they fell to the ground and were ultimately able to place him in handcuffs. Officers were then also able to get Ms. Serbe in custody, however she continued to be belligerent and shout obscenities,” Baytown police said in a statement.

Reyes posted the video to his Facebook page, where it now has over a million views.

In total, four people were arrested for charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Support our Mission

Help us build a database of bad cops

For almost 15 years, PINAC News has remained active despite continuous efforts by the government and Big Tech to shut us down by either arresting us for lawful activity or by restricting access to our readers under the pretense that we write about “social issues.”

Since we are forbidden from discussing social issues on social media, we have created forums on our site to allow us to fulfill our mission with as little restriction as possible. We welcome our readers to join our forums and support our mission by either donating, volunteering or both.

Our plan is to build a national database of bad cops obtained from public records maintained by local prosecutors. The goal is to teach our readers how to obtain these lists to ensure we cover every city, county and state in the country.

After all, the government has made it clear it will not police the police so the role falls upon us.

It will be our most ambitious project yet but it can only be done with your help.

But if we succeed, we will be able to keep innocent people out of prison.
